Thank you for your enquiry about Jigsaw Nursery School. We have enclosed a Prospectus for your perusal. You are very welcome to visit to see what our nursery has to offer. We are registered with the local authority to care for children from 6 months to 5 years.
The nursery opens at 8.00 am and closes at 6.00 pm. Parents can drop off and pick up their children at any time within these hours. We also offer school days which are 6.5 hours and can be taken between 8am - 4pm, morning sessions are between 8am - 1pm and afternoon sessions between 1pm - 6pm. Government funded sessions are available for children from the beginning of term following their third birthday.
The nursery is open during school holidays, closing on Bank Holidays, for one week at Christmas and two staff training days in January and September.
Should you have an emergency situation and need our help, once your child is registered we can usually care for your children during nursery hours.
Our excellent staff all have childcare qualifications and many years of childcare experience. They have been selected for their dedication and belief that children can learn through play and have ...........FUN.
A full day includes toast, milk/water, mid morning snack, a cooked lunch, milk/water, mid afternoon snack and a light tea. Morning sessions include toast, milk/water, snack and a cooked lunch. Afternoon sessions include milk/water, snack and a light tea.
We encourage meetings with parents to discuss their child's progress, working on the theory that a nursery should be a foundation for learning both through structured activities and age appropriate play.
Pre-school children are required to wear uniform, consisting of a red polo shirt and red sweatshirt or cardigan with the nursery's logo. Navy, black or grey trousers or skirts. Polo shirts, sweatshirts and cardigans are available from nursery. Uniform is also available from aged two years if required.
